1 KG SHISHA CHARCOAL – The ShishaSelection Charcoal Rating

For the ShishaSelection Charcoal Rating, seven well-known shisha charcoal brands in the 1 kg format were put through an extensive practical test. The aim was to determine which charcoal delivers the best overall performance in everyday shisha use.

The test went far beyond burn time alone. All products were tested under comparable conditions and evaluated according to several key criteria, including ignition behaviour, heat output, burn time, ash formation, odour development, stability and resistance to breaking, as well as consistent heat distribution throughout the session.

The seven brands tested were BlackCoco’s, Cocobration, LessCubes, 27er Original, Koka Koal, Cocozilla and Brennstoff. The results from each individual test category were combined into an overall score, which determined the final ranking of all seven charcoal brands.

The ShishaSelection Charcoal Rating is designed to provide a practical and transparent comparison, highlighting the actual strengths and weaknesses of each product. The ranking is based on the results of our own testing and therefore does not represent a sales or popularity ranking.
